Our last day in a city is always a bittersweet goodbye. We never really want to leave, but have to. Being in Estonia gave us such a great feeling, it is difficult to give it up. Someday we will return.
Many times we spend our final day in a city just chilling out; getting postcards done and mailed, packing, and planing the next city's arrival.
Breakfast at the hostel was our usual for this location: Greek yoghurt, granola, strawberries, blueberries, and almonds. This is a delicious and cheap meal from the market just a short walk away. We then got to work on the post cards and took a brief nap.
When it was time for lunch we found this cool little restaurant nestled in the back of a pretty hip neighborhood. The place is surrounded by buildings going through a thorough renovation. The neighborhood is pretty run down but now people are taking time to fix it all back up really nice. Prices were very reasonable since we were out of the touristy old town area. When we entered the restaurant we found that it was serving a special Sunday brunch buffet. It was all you can eat for 12€. For the quality of the food we ate, this price was a steal. We ate all sorts of foods that were delicious, but have no idea what they were. Many were fish based, and some vegetarian, but they were all really good. Sesoon was the name of the restaurant and it was a tasty surprise.
We decided to go back to the beautiful Soviet concrete effidice for a walk. From the top we watched people on amusement park rides from a fair close by. The screams from the people could be heard from where we were. Then we headed back to the hostel to cook up some pasta.
The Fat Margret's kitchen is in the basement and very industrial. The remodeling job is of high quality.
No one was smoking on the smoking deck, so we sat out there to eat our dinner. Right across the street is a park where guys were practing their soccer skills.
We decided to go to bed early since the next day will be a travel day. When we went to check in on line for our flights, we were unable to do anything because the airline said there was a problem with our tickets and we would have to solve the issue at the airport. The only way for us to do that is to just walk there early in the morning. Hopefully, we can get to Lisbon somehow!
