Jeep Build

 Here is a write up of what is on the Jeep.  The 1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ was purchased from a friend for $700.  The motor was blowing smoke and it would not pass smog.  We got the engine repaired and registered it as a "Classic Rod" here in Nevada.  For 2 years we just drove it around with the plan to someday build it up.  In May of 2017, it all began, and will probably never be finished.  It drover after 8 months of being under the knife. Mind you, I am a music teacher, but have great friends that helped.  For what seemed impossible, seeing it come to life has been greatly rewarding. 

SPECS

33” x 12.5” tires on 15” wheels

Rear Axle is a Ford 8.8 with 4.10 gears and ARB Air locker

AX-15 Transmission out of the 88-99 Jeep models, mine is a new product, 5 Speed Manual (Jeep originally had an auto)

The Ax-15 will mount easily to the fuel injected 4.0 out of the newer jeeps from the 2000’s and it’s cheap.  The carb with no Cat and a muffler sounds like a tractor.  I like it.
