Garnerbiker's Journey on planet Earth

This blog started as a trip journal for the summer of 2011 Europe trip of 69 days. My wife Katherine, and I decided to use the entire summer break that teachers get, and go crazy. Everything was new to us. I was surprised at the blog's following. It has now become a tradition to travel on our breaks and blog about it. I write mostly as a journal for myself and students, but also give travel ideas to others that might want to travel like us, or go to the places we have seen. Take a look at what's on here. The experiences that I have had through travel are continuously shaping my life. I recommend you get out there and do it!

Dublin, Day 2

This is our little breakfast table.  K cooked up some rashers and goodies for our first morning.

Going for a walk down by the river in the center of Dublin.

The Guinness Storehouse.

Up top at the Gravity Bar.  Children were invited as it was part of the tour, but only 18+ for treats.  They say it's the best view in Dublin.  Yes, we agree!

Since 1759.  Now, that must be a good recipe.

Some neat old building we spotted along our way.

Austin, Denise, Marg, K, and A at the Teeling Distillery.

Triple distilled.  The Three Sisters.

Tasting room.

Some neat overgrown walls

The Temple Bar in the Temple Bar neighborhood.  At night it can get rowdy, and is a huge tourist attraction.  It's a fun place!

The rain came down!

Dinner was served by a Lebanese guy that had the BEST lamb cutlets.  Yummy!
